Elijah was born in Las Vegas, but his childhood in Atlanta, Georgia, was marked by creative exploration, particularly through constructing intricate designs with his LEGO set. This early passion for engineering and innovation guided him to Arizona State University (ASU), where he is currently studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in African American Studies.
Elijah is an active member of the Theme Park Engineering and Design Club and serves as Treasurer for the Black African Coalition.
Through these roles, he combines his passion for creativity and leadership with his commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion. The Theme Park Engineering and Design Club allows him to hone his technical and design skills while exploring the innovative world of themed entertainment, while his work with the Black African Coalition enables him to advocate for representation and build a supportive community on campus.
These experiences are shaping him into a well-rounded leader as he works toward his goal of joining the Mattel Theme Park Internship Program, where he hopes to further develop his skills and bring inclusive, imaginative designs to life.
As a Spring 2024 Initiate of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., he was fortunate enough to attend the Congressional Black Caucus and he looks forward to taking advantage of the various networking opportunities within his brotherhood of engineers.
